Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Can’t Keep Pace With 5A No. 13 Linn Mar in MVC Loss

City High fell to Class 5A No. 13 Linn-Mar 68-49 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in Iowa City.
The loss dropped City High to 3-11 on the season and was the fourth straight loss for the Little Hawks.
Linn-Mar improved to 11-5 with the win.
Zoey Kennedy had a game-high 23 points to lead Linn-Mar while Taylor Brunson had 16 and Ellie Daubenmier had 13 points for the Lions.
Augie Palmer led City High with 18 points and Norah Jespersen had a career-high 12 points on four 3-pointers for the Little Hawks.
Tessa Driscoll had five points and Emmy McComas and Halle Larew each had four.
