Solon had a pair of top-four finishers on its way to an eighth-place team finish at the Herb Irgens Invitational at OABCIG High School in Ida Grove.

Jordan Schmidt finished third and Braydon Hoffman was fourth as Solon finished with 82.5 points.

Class 1A top-ranked Don Bosco won the team title with 271 points followed by 2A No. 5 Sergeant Bluff-Luton with 216.5 and Carroll with 171.

Schmidt went 4-1 on his way to a third-place finish at 132 pounds while Hoffman placed fourth at 195 pounds.

Evan Bur finished seventh for Solon at 113 pounds while Carson Kidwell was eighth at 138, Zeb Kleinsmith was eighth at 182 and Joe Ebert was eighth at 285.
