Solon stretched its winning streak to five with a 76-51 win over Independence on Friday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Solon.

Vince Steinbrech led three Solon players in double figures with a game-high 25 points as Solon improved to 9-3 on the season.

Jake Benzing added 17 points and Sean Stahle had 11 for Solon while Rylen Stiegelmeyer and Gehrig Turner each added eight points.

Tanner Michael had 19 points for Independence and Aidan Bernard had 11 for the Mustangs which dropped to 6-9 with the loss.
