Class 3A ninth-ranked North Polk snapped a five-game Solon winning streak with a 66-49 win over the Spartans on Saturday in a non-conference matchup in Solon.

Solon dropped to 9-4 with the loss while North Polk improved to 12-2.

Jake Benzing led Solon with 13 points while Vince Steinbrech and Gehrig Turner each had nine points for the Spartans.

Ryle Steiegeleyer had eight points and Sean Stahle had five for Solon.

Charlie Bunkers had a game-high 18 points to lead North Polk while Austin Parkins added 17.
