Liberty High jumped three spots in the most recent girls basketball rankings released on Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association.

The Lightning moved up three spots to No. 12 in the rankings following a win over currently No. 13 Linn-Mar on Tuesday.

Liberty High (8-5) joins West High (11-3) in the 5A rankings as the Trojans come in at No. 10, dropping one spot from last week.

Clear Creek Amana (10-2), Solon (13-1) and Regina (13-2) all held their spots this week.

Solon remained third in the 3A rankings, Clear Creek Amana is seventh in Class 4A and Regina is sixth in Class 2A.

Top-ranked teams this week including Johnston in 5A, Dallas Center-Grimes in 4A, Estherville Lincoln Central in 3A, Dike-New Hartford in 2A and Algona Garrigan in 1A.
