Clear Creek Amana built a nine-point halftime lead and pulled away for a 55-34 in over Center Point-Urbana in a top-10 WAMAC West Division showdown in Center Point.

Class 4A seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana improved to 9-2 on the season with its third straight win, its second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent.

Class 3A seventh-ranked Center Point-Urbana dropped to 9-6 on the season with the loss in its fifth consecutive game against a ranked opponent.

The Stormin’ Pointers are now 5-6 against ranked teams on the season.

Ava Locklear led three Clear Creek Amana players in double figures with 12 points while Bliss Beck added 11 and Sam Schrage had 10.

Averie Lower had eight points and Kaylee Stratton seven for the Clippers.

Mya Hillers led Center Point-Urbana with 15 points and Kailey Spurlock added seven.
