Solon, West High and Regina all moved up in the most recent girls basketball rankings released on Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Winners of four in a row, West High (9-2) was the biggest climber this week among Your Prep Sports area teams jumping three spots to ninth in the Class 5A rankings.

Solon (10-1) has won five straight games and moved up one spot to third in the Class 3A rankings following a win over previously second-ranked Benton Community last Friday.

Regina (12-1) moved up one spot to sixth in the Class 2A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana (8-2) and Liberty High (7-4) each held their spots in the rankings this week.

Liberty High remained No. 15 in Class 5A while Clear Creek Amana held at seventh in Class 4A.

Top-ranked teams this week including Johnston in 5A, Dallas Center-Grimes in 4A, Estherville Lincoln Central in 3A, Dike-New Hartford in 2A and Algona Garrigan in 1A.
