Solon defeated South Tama 69-32 in a WAMAC Cross-divisional contest on Tuesday at Xtream Arena in Coralville.

The Spartans improved to 6-3 on the season with the win while South Tama dropped to 1-9 with the loss.

Jake Benzing had a game-high 24 points to lead Solon while Gehrig Turner added 13 points.

Sean Stahle had 12 points, Vince Steinbrech had nine points and Will Cusick and Rylen Stiegelmeyer each had four points.

Daniel Wiese had 11 and Ivan Alvarado had 10 points for South Tama.
