Alexander Pierce and Justin Avila each won individual titles to lead West High to a fifth-place finish at its own Tom Lepic Invitational on Saturday in Iowa City.

Pierce won the title at 106 pounds and Avila won the 160-pound championship as West High finished with 126 points.

Ankeny Centennial won the team title with 189.5 points followed by Pleasant Valley with 173.5 and Norwalk with 169.

Second-ranked Pierce went 3-0 with a pair of pins and a 9-4 decision over sixth-ranked Cale Vandermark of Ankeny Centennial on his way to the 106-pound title.

Avila, who is ranked third at 160 pounds, went 4-0 with four pins on his way to the championship on Saturday.

Braden Doyle added a runner-up finish at 132 pounds while Campbell Janis was third at 120 pounds, Kyler Scranton was third at 170 pounds and Evan Anderson was third at 220.
