Girls Basketball Roundup: Seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana Overcomes Slow Start to Down West Delaware

Class 4A seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana shrugged off a slow start and opened 2023 with a win downing West Delaware 43-30 in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional contest on Friday in Manchester.
The Clippers trailed 5-1 after one quarter and were tied 14-14 at the half but outscored West Delaware 29-16 after halftime including a 17-7 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 7-2 on the season while West Delaware dropped to 3-7.
Bliss Beck had a game-high 16 points to lead the Clippers while Averie Lower added nine points and Kaylee Stratton had seven.
Brooke Krogmann had 10 points, Josie McMahon nine and Kennedy Klosterman six for the Hawks.
