Class 3A No. 14 City High fell to seventh-ranked Linn-Mar 49-21 in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet on Thursday in Marion.

City High won five matches on Thursday, highlighted by wins by Gabe Arnold and Kale Kurtz over ranked foes, but Linn-Mar posted seven pins on its way to the dual win.

Fourth-ranked Kurtz won a 6-3 decision over third-ranked Brayden Parke at 132 pounds for the Little Hawks and top-ranked Arnold defeated second-ranked Tate Naaktgeboren for the second time this season at 182 pounds.

Arnold won a 3-1 decision over Naaktgeboren.

Kendall Kurtz added a second-period pin at 106 pounds for City High and second-ranked Cale Seaton posted a second-period pin at 126 pounds.

Jake Mitchell added a 4-0 decision over Austin Vandersee at 145 pounds for City High.
