Girls Basketball Roundup: Regina Clamps Down Defensively in Win Over Lisbon

Class 2A seventh-ranked Regina clamped down defensively over the final three quarters and rolled to a 60-25 win over Lisbon on Thursday in a non-conference contest in Iowa City.
Regina didn’t allow more than six points in any of the final three quarters holding Lisbon to 14 total points in the final 24 minutes while improving to 12-1 on the season.
Morgan Miller had a game-high 23 points, nine rebounds and four steals for Regina as the Regals pushed their winning streak to 10.
Grace Gaarde had 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Regina and Ella McLaughlin added eight points and eight rebounds.
Dani Laughlin had seven points and five rebounds, Morgan Squiers had four points, four rebounds and three assists and Alli Clark had four assists and two steals for Regina.
Lisbon had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 6-5 on the season.
