Class 4A top-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier shot 51 percent from the floor and snapped a three-game Liberty High winning streak with a 67-43 win over the Lightning in a meeting of Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division rivals in Cedar Rapids.

The win was the fourth straight for Cedar Rapids Xavier which improved to 9-1 while Class 5A No. 12 Liberty High dropped to 6-4 with the loss.

Liberty High shot 27 percent from the floor including 3-of-26 from 3-point range in the loss.

Jasmine Barney had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while Madeline Casey added nine points and four rebounds and Avery Gaudet had eight points.

Kennedy Daugherty had four points and 10 rebounds and Ava Meyer had three points and seven rebounds for the Lightning.

Libby Fandel had a game-high 19 points and five rebounds for Cedar Rapids Xavier while Kyla Mason had 18 points and six rebounds for the Saints.
