Girls Basketball Roundup: Solon Gets Back on Track With Win Over 4A No. 15 Marion

Solon bounced back from its first loss of the season with another win over a ranked opponent on Friday.
Class 3A sixth-ranked Solon earned its fourth win of the season against a ranked team on Friday with a 50-38 win over 4A No. 15 Marion in the WAMAC East Division opener for both teams in Solon.
The win improved Solon to 6-1 on the season and came after an 18-point loss for the Spartans on Tuesday at 4A seventh-ranked Clear Creek Amana.
Callie Levin had a game-high 19 points to lead three Solon players with at least nine points as the Spartans concluded a stretch of four consecutive games against ranked teams with a 3-1 record.
Anna Quillin added 10 points and Kobi Lietz had nine for the Spartans while Hailey Miller added six.
Ella Bockenstedt had 13 points for Marion which dropped to 4-4 on the season and 0-1 in WAMAC East Division play.
Regan Rice had nine points and Ava Attwood six for the Wolves.
