Liberty High had a pair of individual champions and finished fifth as a team at the Kennedy Invite on Monday in Cedar Rapids.

Elizabeth Eggleston won the 140-pound title and Eavenly Nielsen won the 155-pound championship for Liberty High as the Lightning finished with 85 points.

Linn-Mar won the team title with 196.5 points followed by Cedar Rapids Kennedy with 154 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson with 113.5.

West High was eighth with 32 points.

Eggleston went 3-0 on her way to the 140-pound championship earning a 13-8 decision over Josephine Budederi of Cedar Rapids Jefferson in the championship.

Nielsen went 4-0 with four pins en route to the 155-pound title.

Abigial Carr was runner-up at 235 pounds for Liberty High while Taylor Cavanh was third at 100 pounds and Evelyn Eggleston was third at 145.

West High was led by Alexandria Held who was runner-up at 130 pounds.
