Class 5A No. 13 Liberty High got back in the win column on Tuesday with a 56-47 win over Western Dubuque in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Epworth.

Liberty High improved to 4-3 on the season with the win while Western Dubuque dropped to 0-7.

Sophomore Madeline Casey hit five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 20 points to lead Liberty High.

Jasmine Barney had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Lightning while senior Ava Meyer had six points, 13 rebounds and three assists.

Haley Schroeder had eight points and three steals and Avery Gaudet had seven points and two assists.

Kennedy Daugherty had five steals for the Lightning.
