West High placed 19^th at the 40-team Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs.

Millard South (Nebraska) won the team title with 564.5 points followed by Fort Dodge with 388 and Lincoln East (Nebraska) with 361.5.

West High finished with 202.5 points.

Freshman Alexander Pierce led West High with a runner-up finish at 106 pounds.

Pierce went 3-1 falling to Hudson Loges of Blair (Nebraska) 7-1 in the championship match.

Sophomore Justin Avila placed fifth for West High at 152 pounds and Kyler Scranton was seventh at 170 pounds.

Ashton Honore was eighth at 220 pounds and freshman Campbell Janis added a 12^th place finish at 120 pounds.
