Girls Basketball Roundup: Miller Pours in 27 Points, Levin Crosses 1,000-point Mark as Solon Downs No. 8 Vinton-Shellsburg

Junior Callie Levin hit a major career milestone, junior Hailey Miller had the biggest game of her career and Solon won its biggest game of the season on Tuesday in Vinton.
Miller poured in a career-high 27 points and Levin had 18 points to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for her career as Class 3A ninth-ranked Solon knocked off 3A No. 8 Vinton-Shellsburg 65-53.
Solon improved to 4-0 on the season while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 2-2 with the loss.
Levin became the sixth player in program history with 1,000 career points with her 18 points on Tuesday.
Freshman Delainey Durr added eight points and Mia Stahle had seven for the Spartans.
Sophia Kreutner had 15 points for Vinton-Shellsburg while Brylee Bruce had nine and Kalinda Burke and Alyssa Griffith each had eight points.
