City High fell to Class 3A No. 11 Dubuque Wahlert 53-49 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Dubuque.

Dubuque Wahlert improve to 3-1 on the season while City High dropped to 1-1.

Augue Palmer had a game-high 23 points to lead City High and Tessa Driscoll added 10 and Mia Driscoll had eight for the Little Hawks.

Emma Donovan had a team-high 14 points for Dubuque Wahlert while Maria Freed had 12 points and Claire Lueken added eight.
