West Branch fell to Monticello 60-50 on Friday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Monticello.

The Bears dropped to 0-2 with the loss while Monticello improved to 2-0.

Kylie Pickett led West Branch with 16 points and four rebounds while Aly Klinkkammer had 13 points, 3 rebounds and two assists.

Avery Schultes had nine points and three rebounds for the Bears.
