Class 2A eighth-ranked Regina improved to 2-0 on the season with a 75-72 win over Maquoketa on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Iowa City.

Maquoketa dropped to 1-1 with the loss.

Senior Grace Gaarde led Regina with 23 points while Morgan Miller had 14 for the Regals.

Morgan Squiers had 13 points and eight rebounds and Alli Clark added 10 points for Regina.
