Clear Creek Amana Junior Beck Named WAMAC West Division Player of the Year for Second Straight Season

On Tuesday Clear Creek Amana junior Bliss Beck helped Clear Creek Amana snap a seven-year state tournament drought.
On Wednesday Beck extended her own personal streak of earning the top award in the WAMAC Conference.
Beck was named WAMAC West Division player of the year for the second consecutive season on Wednesday when then league released its postseason awards.
The 6-foot-2 Beck had a match-high 17 on Tuesday as Clear Creek Amana returned to the 4A state tournament for the first time since 2014 with a sweep of WAMAC rival West Delaware.
On Wednesday she was rewarded with West Division player of the year honors following a stellar junior season.
Beck ranks sixth in Class 4A with 348 kills and is second in 4A in both hitting efficiency (.423) and total blocks (133).
The player of the year honors for Beck highlight a group of six Clippers to earn all-West Division honors.
Junior Meg Berkland joined Beck on the West Division first team while junior Addison Gisleson and freshman Averie Lower were each named to the West Division second team.
Senior Silvana Kabolo and junior Sam Schrage were each honorable mention picks in the West Division.
Berkland leads Clear creek Amana and ranks fifth in Class 4A with 435 digs this season and is second on the team with 43 ace serves.
Gisleson is fourth on the team with 137 kills to go with 29 blocks and 284 digs while Lower ranks second on the team with 187 kills and has 45 blocks, 282 digs and 35 ace serves.
Solon had four players earn all-East Division honors after a 26-win season that included a spot in a Class 3A regional final.
Sophomore Grace Erwin was named to the East Division first team while senior Delaney Bombei was a second-team pick.
Sophomores Yasmine Sell and Aly Stahle were each honorable mention picks in the East Division.
Erwin ranked second on the team with 191 kills on .372 hitting and led the Spartans with 169 blocks.
Bombei had a team-high 220 kills for the Spartans while hitting .300 and had 62 blocks and 12 ace serves.
