Volleyball Roundup: Regina Advances With Regional Win at Bellevue

A long road trip couldn’t slow Regina in its postseason opener on Wednesday.
Regina burst out of the gate on its way to a 25-14, 25-14, 21-25, 25-10 win at Bellevue (19-8) in a Class 2A, Region 7 quarterfinal on Wednesday in Bellevue.
The win improved Regina to 19-14 on the season and sends the Regina to the Region 7 semifinals where it will travel to third-ranked Wapsie Valley (39-4) on Monday at 7 p.m. in Fairbanks.
Wapsie Valley advanced with a 27-25, 25-11, 25-9 sweep of Cascade on Wednesday.
Freshmen Reese Naeve and Kiley Devery combined for 32 kills to help Regina advance.
Naeve had a match-high 19 kills while hitting .405 and Devery added 13 kills on .619 hitting to the lead the Regals.
Caitlin Martin had 11 kills and Sydney Wagner added seven kills for Regina.
