The preseason top-ranked team in Class 5A, Liberty High will enter the postseason in that same spot.

Liberty High (28-8) remained atop Class 5A in the final regular season volleyball rankings released on Monday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The Lightning are seeking a fourth consecutive state tournament appearance and open the postseason at home on Thursday against the winner of the regional quarterfinal between Cedar Rapids Jefferson and Cedar Rapids Washington.

Clear Creek Amana (30-10) moved up two spots to eighth in the final Class 4A rankings.

The Clippers jumped in front of both Norwalk and Bondurant-Farrar in the final rankings and are one spot in front of Council Bluffs Lewis Central.

Solon (23-12) held its spot at ninth in the final Class 3A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams in the final rankings are Cedar Rapids Xavier in Class 4A, Des Moines Christian in 2A, Dike-New Hartford in 2A and Springville in 1A.
