City High returned to the top 10 in the most recent Class 5A Associated Press poll released on Monday.

Coming off a win over Davenport West on Friday that improved City High to 5-3 on the season the Little Hawks are tied with Linn-Mar for the 10th spot in the Class 5A poll.

West Des Moines Dowling (7-1) took over the top spot in the 5A poll and is followed by Pleasant Valley (8-0), Southeast Polk (7-1) and Ankeny (7-1).

Liberty High, Solon and West Branch all held their spots in this weeks poll.

West Branch (8-0) completed an unbeaten regular season with a win at Wilton and remained atop the Class 1A poll while Solon (6-2) held its spot at seventh in Class 3A.

Liberty High (7-1) remained fourth in the Class 4A poll.

Other top-ranked teams this week include Council Bluffs Lewis Central in 4A, Harlan in 3A, Williamsburg in 2A, West Hancock in Class A and Remsen St. Mary’s in eight-player.
