The seniors on the West High swimming team put the finishing touches on an unbeaten dual career on Tuesday evening at the Coralville Recreation Center.

West High defeated Dubuque Hempstead 141-42 in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual on senior night Tuesday as the seniors in the West High program closed their prep careers with an unblemished record in dual meets.

Five different West High athletes claimed individual titles as the Trojans won 11 of 12 events on Tuesday.

Senior Jade Roghair and juniors Kolby Reese and Karen Liu each won a pair of individual events while senior Ainsley Young and junior Carlee Wilkins added individual titles.

Roghair won the 200 freestyle in 1:55.44 and added a title in the 100 freestyle in 53.78 to pace West High.

Reese won the 200 IM in a time of 2:21.25 and also won the 500 freestyle in 5:17.8 while Liu won the 50 freestyle in 26.51 and added a title in the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:02.57.

Young won the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 191.75 and Wilkins claimed the 100 backstroke in 1:00.69.

West High finished in the top two spots in all three relay events on its way to the dual meet victory.
