Kayla Young won the individual title to help Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon to a runner-up team finish at the 47^th Anamosa Invitational on Saturday at Anamosa High School.

Young won the individual title in a time of 19:38 to lead four Spartans in the top 16.

Gracie Federspiel was 13^th in a time of 21:21 while Sydney Dee was 14^th in 21:21 and Anna Quillin was 16^th in 21:24.

Class 2A top-ranked Monticello won the team title with 36 points while Solon was second with 68 and Tipton was third with 102.

Sophia Stahle finished 27^th for Solon and Ella Sheeley was 34^th in 22:37.
