Girls Cross Country Roundup: Solon Finishes Runner-up at Anamosa Invitational

Kayla Young won the individual title to help Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon to a runner-up team finish at the 47th Anamosa Invitational on Saturday at Anamosa High School.
Young won the individual title in a time of 19:38 to lead four Spartans in the top 16.
Gracie Federspiel was 13th in a time of 21:21 while Sydney Dee was 14th in 21:21 and Anna Quillin was 16th in 21:24.
Class 2A top-ranked Monticello won the team title with 36 points while Solon was second with 68 and Tipton was third with 102.
Sophia Stahle finished 27th for Solon and Ella Sheeley was 34th in 22:37.
