Solon is fourth in the latest Class 3A girls cross country rankings released on Tuesday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

The Spartans follow top-ranked Pella, Mount Vernon-Lisbon and Ballard in the Class 3A top-five that is rounded out by fifth-ranked Gilbert.

City High held its spot at No. 10 in the most recent Class 4A rankings while West High returned to the 4A rankings at No. 20.

Dubuque Hempstead is the top ranked team in Class 4A followed by Johnston, Pleasant Valley, Ankeny Centennial and Dubuque Senior.

Clear Creek Amana is No. 18 in the Class 3A rankings and Regina is No. 17 in Class 1A.

Other top-ranked teams this week include Monticello in Class 2A and Logan-Magnolia in Class 1A.
