City High fell to Class 4A fourth-ranked Western Dubuque 25-23, 25-23, 25-17 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division match in Iowa City.

Western Dubuque improved to 14-3 on the season and 5-0 in MVC play with the win while City High dropped to 6-10 on the season and 2-3 in conference action.

Claire Ernst led City High with 11 kills and 15 digs while Emmy McComas had eight kills and 12 digs.

Emily Arling had seven kills and Sidney Slay had 25 assists and 10 digs for the Little Hawks.
