Brick Kabela and Mike Yeomans each posted top-10 finishes to lead Solon to a third-place team finish on Monday at the 42^nd Mike Carr Ballard Invitational in Huxley.

Kabela placed fifth in a time of 16:58.9 and Yeomans was ninth in 17:29 as the Spartans finished third in the team standing with 80 points.

Des Moines Christian had the top two individual finishers on its way to the team title with 33 points while Gilbert was runner-up with 42.

Atlantic finished fourth with 127 points followed by Nevada with 128 and Woodward-Granger with 212.

Grant Bumsted finished 17^th in a time of 18:24.2 for Solon while teammate Lawsin Sinwell was 22^nd in 18:27.4 and Collin Bumsted was 27^th in 19:02.1.
