Liberty High and West Branch each moved up one spot in the most recent Associated Press football poll of the season released on Tuesday.

West Branch (2-0) moved up one spot to fifth in the Class 1A poll while Liberty High (2-0) climbed a spot to sixth in the Class 4A poll.

Solon (1-1) dropped from No. 1 to No. 7 in the Class 3A poll following a 17-14 loss to Mount Vernon on Friday. The Mustangs moved up to fifth in the 3A rankings.

Regina, Clear Creek Amana and City High are all receiving votes in the week two poll.

City High (1-1) is receiving votes in the 5A poll while Clear Creek Amana (1-1) is third among teams receiving votes in the 4A poll and Regina is fourth among teams getting votes in Class 1A.

Top-ranked teams this week are Southeast Polk (5A), Council Bluffs Lewis Central (4A), ADM (3A), Williamsburg (2A), West Sioux (1A), West Hancock (A) and Remsen St. Mary’s (8-player).
