Boys Cross Country Roundup: Solon Finishes Third at Season-opening Anamosa Invite

Class 3A No. 6 Solon opened the season with a third-place finish at the 11-team Anamosa Invite on Saturday morning in Anamosa.
Brick Kabela and Mike Yeomans each posted top-10 finishes as Solon finished with 84 points.
Class 4A No. 15 Cedar Rapids Kennedy won the team title with 25 points followed by 3A No. 20 Washington with 75.
Host Anamosa was fourth with 113 while 1A second-ranked Bellevue was fifth with 118.
Kabela led the Spartans placing sixth in a time of 17:33.5 while Yeomans was seventh in 17:35.7.
Grant Bumsted finished 19th in 18:46.7 and Lawsin Sinwell was 24th for Solin in 19:12.7.
Miles Wilson of Cedar Rapids Kennedy won the individual title in 16:15.2.
