Golf Roundup: Liberty High Third, West High Sixth at Trojan Blue Top Ridge Golf Invite

Liberty High had four players shoot 82 or better on its way to a third-place team finish at the 10th annual Trojan Blue Top Ridge Golf Invite on Monday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.
Ryan Schmierer fired a 78 to lead Liberty High as the Lightning finished with a 322.
Johnston won the team title with a 297, three strokes in front of runner-up Pleasant Valley.
Liberty High was two strokes clear of fourth place Dubuque Wahlert while Bettendorf with fifth with a 327 and host West High was sixth with a 331.
Tate Brunk shot an 80 and JJ Grimm and Lucas Bartachek each shot an 82 for Liberty High.
Dillon Croco fired a 79 to pace West High while Jack MacLagan shot an 82 for the Trojans.
Owen Larson and Colie Colier each shot 85 for West High.
Owen Wright of Pleasant Valley and Owen Howe of Johnston each shot a one-under-par 71 to finish in the top two spots.
Mateo Rascon of Burlington was one shot back in third with a 72.
