Clear Creek Amana Junior Webb Named WAMAC West Division Player of the Year

Following a stellar sophomore season a year ago Ashley Webb was even better this summer.
The Clear Creek Amana junior was recognized for her excellence on Thursday.
Webb was named the WAMAC West Division player of the year on Thursday when the league released its postseason honors highlighting a group of eight Clippers to earn all-division honors.
The left-handed throwing Webb went 13-4 with a 1.45 ERA and struck out 137 batters in 120 1/3 innings this season.
Opponents hit just .181 off Webb who allowed just 91 hits and 32 walks this season on her way to being a unanimous WAMAC West Division first team pick.
Senior outfielder Bailey Olerich joined Webb as a unanimous West Division first team selection.
Olerich led Clear Creek Amana with a .448 batting average, 37 stolen bases and 46 runs scored and also drove in 14 runs.
Sophomore shortstop Reese Stockman earned first-team all-West Division honors after hitting .358 with eight doubles and a team-high 39 RBI.
Sophomore Bliss Beck, junior Olivia Miller and eighth-grader Brenna Williams were all second-team selections in the West Division.
Beck was a second team pick as a pitcher after going 15-4 with a .52 ERA and 136 strikeouts in 93 2/3 innings.
Miller was a West Division second team infielder after hitting .383 with nine extra-base hits, 29 RBI and 31 runs scored.
Williams earned second-team honors as a utility player after batting .333 with eight doubles and 27 RBI in her first varsity season.
Senior Emma Mathis and sophomore Aeslyn Massey were honorable mention selections for Clear Creek Amana in the West Division.
Solon had six players earn all-division honors in the East Division led by senior first baseman Camryn Keith and junior shortstop Hilary Wilson who were each first-team picks.
Wilson led Solon in batting average (.382), runs (30), total bases (64), home runs (4), RBI (33), on-base percentage (.457) and slugging percentage (.582).
Keith was a first team utility pick after hitting .347 with three home runs, 26 RBI and 24 runs scored.
Senior Meghan O’Neill was second team utility selection and sophomore Kendall Jensen was a second-team East Division pick as a pitcher.
O’Neill batted .339 with 30 runs scored and 14 RBI while Jensen posted a 12-8 record and 3.85 ERA while striking out 65 in a team-leading 125 1/3 innings.
Solon seniors Ava Stebral and Carly Ellison were both honorable mention picks in the East Division.
