Liberty High Puts Three on MVC All-Division Softball First Team; City High and West High Each With Two First Team Selections

Liberty High enjoyed the best season in program history winning 28 games, going 21-9 in Mississippi Valley Conference play and advancing to the regional title game.
On Wednesday the Lightning were honored for their success this season.
Liberty High had six players earn all-division honors highlighted by a trio of first-team selections when the MVC released its postseason softball awards on Wednesday.
Senior Kinsley Robertson, junior Kennedy Daugherty and sophomore Mischa Reiners were all first-team selections in the Mississippi Division.
Reiners was a first-team all-division pick as a catcher after hitting a .420 with five home runs and 30 RBI.
Robertson earned first-team honors as a pitcher following a senior season in which she went 15-6 with a 1.87 ERA while striking out 166 in 131 innings.
Daugherty was a first-team selection in the Mississippi Division outfield after she hit .311 with 15 doubles, eight home runs and 40 RBI.
Junior Haileigh Smith was a second-team selection as an infielder after she led the Lightning with nine home runs and 52 RBI while hitting .350.
Sophomores Brynlee Slockett and Haley Schroeder were each honorable mention selections for the Lightning.
City High had five players earn all-Mississippi Division honors highlighted by freshman Avy Lindsey and Lianna Hull who were both first team picks as infielders.
Hull was a unanimous first-team pick after leading the Little Hawks with a .536 batting average, 75 hits, 56 runs, 31 stolen bases and a .560 on-base percentage.
Lindsey was also a first-team pick after hitting .409 with 15 extra-base hits including three home runs and a team-leading 43 RBI.
Senior Makayla Ribble was named to the Mississippi Division second team as an infielder after hitting .378 with four home runs and 33 RBI.
Senior Sydney McCleary and sophomore Molly Carlson were both honorable mention picks for City High.
West High had two players named to the Valley Division first team.
Senior Maddie Caylor was a first team selection as an infielder and junior Ella Nelson a first-team selection as an outfielder.
Nelson hit .378 with 28 runs and 14 RBI for the Trojans while Caylor led West High with a .400 batting average, three home runs and 29 RBI.
Senior Ava Davis and junior Tamiah Teran each earned honorable mention status in the Valley Division for West High.
