For the past three seasons Emma Nibaur has been among the top pitchers in the River Valley Conference and all of Class 2A.

On Friday following another strong season Nibaur was honored for her play all over the softball diamond.

Nibaur was named to the River Valley Conference Elite Team as a utility selection on Friday highlighting a list of five Regina players honored when the conference released its postseason awards.

Junior Courtney Kessler and sophomores Gabby Sueppel and Avery Kies were all named to the South Division team while freshman Laci Chambliss was an honorable mention pick in the South Division.

Nibaur was named to the 17-member Elite team that honors the top players from both the North and South Divisions.

The senior standout posted a 15-7 record and 2.48 ERA this season allowing 127 hits and while striking out 122 in a team-high 135 2/3 innings.

Nibaur also hit .357 with eight doubles and 16 RBI on her way to earning Elite Team honors.

Kessler was named to the South Division team as a catcher after leading Regina with a .412 batting average, 10 extra-base hits and 22 RBI.

Kies was an outfielder on the South Division team after hitting .353 with six doubles, 25 runs scored, 13 RBI.

Sueppel was an infield selection on the South Division squad following a season in which the sophomore shortstop hit .344 with six doubles, 18 runs and 19 RBI.

West Branch senior Lexi Klinkkammer was named to the South Division team as a utility selection and freshman Lanie Meyer was an infielder on the South Division squad.

Klinkkammer hit .411 with 11 RBI and also pitched 38 1/3 innings for the Bears.

Meyer hit a team-high .417 and led West Branch with 30 hits, 17 runs and 17 RBI.

Sophomore Alyse Klinkkammer was an honorable mention pick for the Bears.
