Last week Regina secured the River Valley Conference South Division title.

On Friday the Regals were rewarded by the conference for their success this season.

Regina had three players named to the River Valley Conference Elite team and had two more players named to the South Division team when the conference released its postseason awards on Friday.

Senior Cameron Lehman and juniors Jack Tierney and Danny Gavin were all selected to the 17-member RVC Elite Team that honors the top players from both the North and South Divisions.

Sophomore Jack Clark and senior Christian Mills were each South Team honorees for the Regals while senior Ethan VonHarz earned honorable mention honors in the South Division.

Lehman was named to the elite team as a pitcher after going 6-2 with a 2.61 ERA and 43 strikeouts in a team-high 51 innings this season.

Tierney was an Elite-team utility selection after a strong junior season in which he led Regina in batting average at .419 and had five extra-base hits, 14 RBI and a team-leading .520 on-base percentage.

On the mound Tierney was 3-3 with a 2.38 ERA and struck out 33 in 32 1/3 innings.

Gavin was an elite team pick as an outfielder after batting .359 and leading Regina in hits (28), runs (29), doubles (10), home runs (2), extra-base hits (12) and walks (19) and ranking second on the team with 15 RBI.

Clark was named to the South Division team as a catcher after hitting .255 with a home run and 15 RBI and Mills was a South Division utility selection after hitting .282 with a team-high 19 RBI.

Regina coach Steve Pacha was named South Division coach of the year after leading the Regals to the South Division title.

West Branch seniors Gage Gingerich and Lucas Pierce and junior Logan Foster Paulsen were all named to the South Division squad.

Foster Paulsen was a South Division pick as a pitcher after going 4-2 with a 1.62 ERA and striking out 40 in 30 1/3 innings.

Pierce was a utility selection on the South Division squad.

The senior went 2-4 with a 2.86 ERA and struck out 46 in a team-high 49 innings as a pitcher and also hit .246 with six doubles and 12 RBI.

Gingerich was selected to the South Division team as a catcher following a senior season in which he batted .318 with nine RBI and six runs scored.

West Branch senior Quinn Hayden was an honorable mention selection in the South Division.
