Clear Creek Amana and Solon split a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional doubleheader on Monday in Oxford with Solon winning the opener 3-0 and the Clippers taking the nightcap 2-1.

Class 4A third-ranked Clear Creek Amana moved to 27-6 on the season and 17-3 in conference play with the doubleheader split while Solon now sits at 17-13 and 11-9.

Solon produced all of the runs in game on with a three-run second inning that featured a pair of Clear Creek Amana errors and singles from Camryn Keith and Hilary Wilson.

Kendall Jensen made the early lead stick tossing a complete game shutout, allowing just six hits and walking one.

Wilson scored a run and Keith had an RBI in game one for Solon while Izzy Frees added a double.

Reese Stockman had two hits for Clear Creek Amana while Bailey Olerich, Aeslyn Massey, Olivia Miller and Ashley Webb added hits for the Clippers.

Bliss Beck took the loss for Clear Creek Amana allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits while striking out seven and walking one in a complete game.

Clear Creek Amana scored a run in each of the first two innings of the nightcap and three Clipper pitchers combined to hold Solon to four this in a 2-1 win.

Elizabeth Timmerman earned the win allowing two hits and one run while striking out two and walking three in 3 1/3 innings.

Beck worked 1 1/3 innings of one-hit relief and Webb allowed just one hit while striking out two over the final two innings.

Timmerman had a hit and drove in a run for Clear Creek Amana while Avery Allan and Emma Mathis each had a hit and scored a run.

Carly Ellison went 2-for-3 to lead Solon while Keith and Wilson each had a hit.
