Softball Roundup: Nibaur Spins One-Hitter as Regina Avenges Loss to Durant

Emma Nibaur spun a one-hit shutout as Class 2A sixth-ranked Regina avenged a loss at Durant last Friday with a 7-0 win over the Wildcats on Monday in Iowa City.
Nibaur struck out eight and walked just one on Monday as Regina improved to 12-8 on the season and moved to 5-3 in River Valley Conference play.
Durant dropped to 8-14 and 5-4 in RVC action.
Avery Kies had a pair of hits and scored twice and Courtney Kessler had a hit and drove in three runs to lead Regina.
Nibaur and Kennedy Connor each had hits and drove in runs and Dani Laughling and Laci Chambliss each had a hit and scored a run for Regina.
Jillian Panther drove in a run for the Regals.
