City High climbed four spots to second in the most recent Class 4A baseball rankings released on Monday by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.

The Little Hawks are 21-7 on the season and trail only top-ranked Johnston (23-1) in the Class 4A rankings.

West Des Moines Dowling, Waukee and Cedar Rapids Prairie round out the top five in the most recent 4A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana (15-5) is ninth in the most recent Class 3A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams in the rankings this week are Davenport Assumption in Class 3A, Van Meter in Class 2A and Remsen St. Mary’s in Class 1A.
