Softball Roundup: Solon Drops Two Games at Roland-Story Tournament

Solon dropped a pair of games at the Roland-Story Tournament on Friday in Roland falling to North Polk 6-4 and to Class 4A top-ranked ADM 7-2.
The Spartans dropped to 10-9 on the season with the two losses on Friday.
North Polk (9-8) scored four unanswered runs over the final four innings to rally for a 6-4 win over Solon in the first game of the day for the Spartans.
Mia Stahle had two hits and scored two runs for Solon while Hilary Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored.
Addie Miller had a hit and drove in a run while Meg O’Neil and Carly Ellison each added hits and Ava Stebral drove in a run.
Kendall Jensen took the loss for Solon allowing six runs, three earned, on eight hits while striking out four and walking one.
In the second game of the day ADM (20-2) scored five runs in the final two innings to snap a 2-all tie.
Izzy Frees, O’Neil and Ellison had hits for the Spartans in the loss while Wilson and O’Neil scored runs and Ellison drove in a run.
Frees took the loss allowing seven runs, five earned, on 11 hits while striking out six and walking three.
