Regina dropped to 1-3 on the season with the loss while Mount Vernon improved to 3-2 on the year with its third consecutive win.
Five Mount Vernon pitchers combined to limit Regina to two hits while striking out 12 in the win.
Nolan Jackson earned the win for the Mustangs working a scoreless sixth inning while Mason Hartman struck out two in a scoreless seventh to secure the save.
Jack Tierney took the loss for Regina allowing two unearned runs on just one hit while striking out three in two innings.
Connor Nicpon worked three scoreless innings of relief for the Regals while starter Jose Monestina allowed one run on three hits in two innings.
Danny Gavin and Jack Clark each had a hit for Regina while Jackson Naeve scored a run for the Regals.
