Class 2A No. 13 Solon defeated Aplington-Parkersburg/Dike-New Hartford 10-1 its postseason opener on Thursday at Spartan Stadium in Solon.

Solon (15-2) will host Independence (4-14) in a Substate 5 semifinal on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Independence defeated Mount Vernon 1-0 in a quarterfinal on Thursday.

Fourth-ranked Bondurant-Farrar (15-2) will host Benton Community (8-10) in the other Substate 5 semifinal with the winners meeting in the title game on May 25 at 6:30 p.m.
