Solon climbed two spots into the top 10 in the most recent soccer rankings released on Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Coming off a win over Class 2A No. 14 Independence on Tuesday, Solon (12-3) vaulted to No. 9 in the 1A rankings released Thursday.

Regina (10-4) dropped five spot to No. 15 in the 1A rankings.

City High (7-3) moved up one spot to No. 11 in the Class 3A rankings.

Top-ranked teams this week are West Des Moines Valley (3A), Dallas Center-Grimes (2A) and Davenport Assumption (1A).
