Liberty High sophomore Bella Pettersen fired a low round of 78 on Monday at the first Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional meet at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City to move to the top of the Valley Division leaderboard after two events.

Pettersen was third in the Mississippi Division standings and three shots back of leader Jane Peterson of Cedar Rapids Washington after shooting a 76 at the MVC Super Meet.

The sophomore surpassed Peterson with a strong showing on Monday and enters the third and final event with a one-stroke advantage on the Cedar Rapids Washington freshman.

After two events Pettersen has a 154 while Peterson has a two-event score of 155 followed by Linn-Mar freshman Morgan Rupp with a 161.

Western Dubuque shot a low team score of 361 on Monday to pull into a tie with Cedar Falls for the top spot in the teams standings after two events.

Liberty High shot a 391 on Monday and City High fired a 429.

Liberty High is seventh with an 800 after two events while City High is eighth with an 849.

City High senior Annika Rutt shot a 102 on Monday to lead the Little Hawks and is 20^th after two events with a 197.
