Ayana Lindsey

Former City High all-stater and current Northwestern University freshman Ayana Lindsey went 2-for-3 with a home run and six RBI in a 21-2 win over Illinois Chicago on Tuesday.

Lindsey had a grand slam as a part of a 10-run first inning for the Wildcats and also stole a base and scored three runs.

On the season Lindsey is hitting .313 with 20 runs scored and seven RBI for the Wildcats who are 38-7 including 18-2 in Big 10 play.

Jayden Kies

Regina graduate and current Luther College senior outfielder Jayden Kies had a hit in a 2-1 win over Simpson on Sunday in Indianola.

Kies had helped the Norse to a 19-16 record including an 11-10 conference mark this spring.

Drake Woody

Liberty High graduate and current Iowa freshman Drake Woody was a member of the Hawkeye’s 4×400 relay team that finished seventh at the Drake Relays last week.

Woody ran the second leg on the relay as Iowa finished in a time of 3:15.83.
