The club is staying put at Liberty High.

For the second consecutive season Liberty High secured the traveling trophy that goes the winner of the Clash for the Club event edging City High via tiebreaker on Monday at Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville.

Liberty High and City High each shot a 408 on Monday but the Lightning defended their Clash for the Club title from last season winning the fifth-place score tiebreaker by a single stroke.

West High was just off the pace firing a 412 while Regina was fourth with a 510.

Isabella Pettersen earned medalist honors to lead Liberty High shooting a six-over-par 77.

Pettersen shot a 39 on the front nine and closed with a 38 to finish 13 strokes in front of individual runner-up Leigha Pacha of West High who shot a 90.

Liberty High had four golfers in the top 10 as Claire Franzwa shot a 109 to finish eighth, Leah Wagner was ninth with a 110 and Alison Colony was 10^th with a 112.

City High got a third-place finish from Annika Rutt who fired a 46 on both sides to finish with a 92.

Haleigh Nelson was fourth with a 95 for the Little Hawks while Dani Moen was sixth with a 108.

It came down to the fifth score for the title between City High and Liberty High with Liberty High’s Mariana Lehnertz shooting a 114 to edge City High’s Olivia Knoche by a single stroke.

Tyesha Thompson was fifth with a 102 and McKenna Simcox seventh with a 108 for West High.

Josie Voss shot a 112 and Leah Zimmerman a 131 to lead Regina.
