The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts as well as honoring those athletes that continue to excel at the next level.
Adeline Kenlin
West Branch graduate and current Iowa sophomore Adeline Kenlin finished second on balance beam at the NCAA Championships at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas last week.
Kenlin scored a 9.950, the highest beam score by a Hawkeye at the NCAA meet in program history to finish behind only Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee who scored a 9.965.
The second-place finish in the highest by a Hawkeye all-time and made Kenlin the sixth first-team All-America in program history and second ever on the balance beam.
Masen Miller
Regina graduate Masen Miller announce last week he will transfer to Indiana State University after two strong seasons at Truman State.
Miller was a first-team all-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection last season averaging 14.4 points per game while shooting 45 percent from three-point range.
The 6-foot-2 Miller was named GLVC freshman of the year in his first season at Truman State when he averaged 11.1 points per game and led the Bulldogs with 62 made three-pointers.
Logan Cook
Former West High standout Logan Cook announced last week she will transfer to Providence for her final season.
A 6-foot-1 forward, Cook helped lead West High to the 2018 state championship before playing the past four seasons at Iowa.
In four seasons with the Hawkeyes Cook had 92 points and 104 rebounds.
