Alex Poppen earned medalist honors to lead West Branch to a runner-up finish at a River Valley Conference South Division triangular on Monday at Wahkonsa Golf Course in Durant.

Poppen fired a 48 to earn medalist honors as West Branch finished with a 217, 10 strokes back of team champion Mid-Prairie.

Host Wilton was third with a 222.

Sophia Kouba shot a 53 and Claire Jarrett a 54 for the Bears.
