An impressive start to the season for Solon continued on Tuesday with a dominant effort at the Hawkins Relays in Cedar Rapids.

Solon won 11 total events including six relay titles while winning the team title by more than 26 points over host Cedar Rapids Prairie.

The Spartans rolled up 210.5 team points to outdistance the host Hawks while Center Point-Urbana was third with 87 points and Marion was fourth with 84.5.

Five different Spartans won individual titles and Solon had runner-up finishes in three individual events.

Kaia Holtkamp won the high jump clearing 4-10 and Aly Stahle won the 100 in a time of 13.42.

Makinley Levin won the 400 in 1:01.44, Emma Bock won the 800 title in 2:18.21 and Sophia Stahle won the 100 hurdles in 16.26.

Levin was runner-up in the long jump, Sophia Stahle was runner-up in the 200 and Mia Stahle was runner-up in the 400 hurdles.

Solon nearly completed a sweep of the relay events winning six of the seven relays and finishing runner-up in the distance medley.

The Solon sprint medley team of Mia Stahle, Addie McQuinn, Mia Duckett and Bock won in 1:54.88 and the shuttle hurdle foursome of Aly Stahle, Mia Stahle, Jada Buffington and Sophia Stahle won in 1:07.75.

Duckett, Aly Stahle, Sophia Stahle and Levin won the 4×100 in 51.22 while Duckett, Mia Stahle, Callie Levin and Emma Wolff won the 4×200 in 1:49.51.

Meghan O’Neill, Callie Levin, Holtkamp and Bock won the 4×400 in 4:04.6 and O’Neill, Anna Quillin, Grace Federspiel and Holtkamp won the 4×800 in 10:01.1.
